That said, we just wanted to make sure you were aware of and had as much information as possible about some AMAZING opportunities to get you "built up in early childhood education, so you can in turn build up others" with some continuing education opportunities. YES, all but close to FREE!

- On a simple level, if we see value in you we often look to pay for your initial trainings to become certified. This so long as you stay with Little Sprouts for an agreed upon time period.

- There are different organizations that offer free non-credit or for credit Early Childhood Credential opportunities. Please see the example attachment below. "FREE Preschool Credential Example"

- There is also an amazing program called T.E.A.C.H. scholarship. This amazingly will pay the majority of your schooling and other expenses for UP TO A BACHELORS degree in Early Childhood. WOW!  Find out more information on their website:   https://wisconsinearlychildhoo...

Staff Testimonial

Melanie W

I started working at Little Sprouts in February of 2012 during my time as a student at UW-Stout. I was drawn to Little Sprouts because of their passion for children and education. I had previously worked in a corporate daycare and preschool setting where it was becoming more evident that it wasn’t as much about the kids as it was about the money. I knew Little Sprouts was committed to the children and families they work with, because they are passionate about what they do!

Shortly after I started working at Sprouts I learned that I was not just an employee, but that I was a part of a team, or I even like to call them “my Little Sprouts family”. I always felt appreciated and encouraged as an employee at Sprouts. I spent two years at Sprouts and I absolutely loved every minute of it! My former coworkers at Sprouts have become some of my dearest friends who I still keep in contact with to this day! Also, I enjoyed how well we got to know the children and families we worked with at Sprouts everyday!

To attest to the kind of people the team at Little Sprouts are, I was diagnosed with Lymphoma after my time at Sprouts had come to an end and my Little Sprouts family was so kind as to hold a benefit in my honor to help with medical expenses, even though I had moved to Virginia Beach, VA. They were able to raise just over $2,000 for my medical expenses! I may be thousands of miles away, but Little Sprouts will always be special to me and a part of my family!

"I have grown both professionally and personally from working at Little Sprouts. I had the privilege working with Joe and Lucy along with the rest of Little Sprouts staff for five months and it was nothing short of an amazing experience. You can see the passion that both Joe and Lucy have for this child care center and the growth of each child. Creating a healthy environment for the children and employees is a goal they work toward daily. Excellence is portrayed in every task. The one aspect of the center that had an impact on me the most was the food. I am currently studying Early Childhood Education at the university and have conducted research to see how children are eating at home. I have also observed what children eat at other centers. I was blown away by the food at Little Sprouts. Not only is the food healthy and chemical free but the children love it! They are trying new foods daily like hummus, avocado, quinoa, and lentils. I have tried foods for the first time at Little Sprouts and now some of those foods are found in my  own cupboards."

Ms. Kaci (staff)

"Working at Little Sprouts has been an incredible experience. Little Sprouts strives to go beyond educating children; they strive to teach them to take care of their bodies and the world they live in. The children who attend Little Sprouts experience something very unique and life changing. Children are fed nutritional meals and learn why the meals are nutritious. I have seen many children hesitant to eat certain foods and after a few weeks they are asking for seconds. It is encouraging to see the children make healthy choices independently and confidently at such a young age. The staff team models many eco-friendly behaviors on a daily basis such as recycling, utilizing recycled materials for crafts, and growing their own vegetables. Little Sprouts has a family atmosphere that can be felt rather you are a staff member, parent, or student. The administrators and other staff put the families at the center of their work and enjoy doing so. Every staff member cares greatly about their students and goes the extra mile to reassure high quality education and continual growth of self-esteem in their students. I encourage you to stop in and witness the wonderful environment at Little Sprouts!"
